Consent Policy
It's everyone's responsibility to understand, ask for, and choose whether to give or withhold consent. We aim to keep our spaces safe and consensual, where people are accepted and able to explore themselves and their sexuality. This is the Consent Policy we expect everyone at Leather Connections events and activities to follow. We expect all members, even at other events, to follow this policy at all times, and to respect the policies of other organizations and events.
- No touching people or personal property without consent.
- Treat everyone as fundamentally equal.
- Negotiate the scope of your activities.
- Ensure full, enthusiastic consent is obtained from all parties.
- Anyone can withdraw consent at any time during any activity.
- All participants are responsible for stopping any activity immediately upon the withdrawal of consent from anyone.
- Valid consent cannot be obtained mid-scene. Do not exceed pre-scene consent agreements.
- If your consent is violated, or you experience a consent injury, tell a dungeon monitor, event organizer, Leather Connections community leader, or clearly marked delegate as soon as you're able.
- If a consent incident occurs at an event, those involved may be asked to leave, and a restorative justice process may be initiated to promote accountability and healing.
- Disclaimer: we strive to enforce this policy, but make no representations or guarantees about our ability to do so.
